The Take3 program lets a VMware employee with five or more years of service take a three month rejuvenation period and select an assignment outside of their regular day job. I am thrilled to announce that the Office of the CTO has accepted my application! For the upcoming fiscal quarter (Jan 29 – Apr 29), I will be working full time on the VMware Event Broker Appliance (VEBA).
I have been fortunate enough to be involved with the VEBA project since shortly after the first release in November 2019. I have blogged extensively about the product, and VEBA has served as the catalyst for my ongoing skills modernization effort. I’ve delivered VMware {Code}, VMUG, and VMworld sessions on using VEBA as a tool for skills modernization. Now, I get to spend an entire quarter dedicated to VEBA.
I can’t wait to get started! You’ll see a significant dropoff in blog activity for the upcoming quarter, but this will be replaced with contributions to the VEBA project.
